TAAT Strengthens Capacity on Vegetable Seed Certification in Ghana

The Technologies for African Agricultural Transformation (TAAT) programme, the World Vegetable Center, in collaboration with CSIR-Crops Research Institute, organized a national Training of Trainers workshop in Kumasi, Ghana, from 12 – 14 May 2025. The training strengthened the capacity of the Plant Protection and Regulatory Services Directorate (PPRSD) and seed companies on vegetable seed certification and quality control, through practical sessions on seed sampling, germination and purity testing, disease diagnostics, field inspection, and the use of digital tools for traceability.
